Viewing Google Analytics stats

An easy way to view Google Analytics stats is with using a Google Analytics Dashboard plugin.
For instance

The plugin Google Analytics Dashboard for WP  by Alin Marcu

After having installed and activated the plugin. It will show up in your admin/backend sidebar.

Google Analytics Dashboard plugin sidebar items

Log into your Google Analytics e-mail account before proceeding.

The first thing that needs to be done is get the Google Analytics tracking code.
Go to General Settings -> click Authorize Plugin.

Google Analytics Dashboard WP General Settings

The following screen will then show up.
Click Get Access Code link.

Be sure to login to your Google Account if you are not logged in.
Then click Accept to let the plugin view your Google Analytics data.

The following screen with a code will show up.
Select and copy the code.

Paste the code into the Access Code box.
Click the Save Access Code button.

Plugin authorization succeeded.
The drop down will list the sites you have listed in your Google Analytics account. Select a Domain to track. I selected easywebdesigntutorials.com and Alle nettsteddata means all web data. Here one can create a Google Analytics view and define tracking.

Turning on “show page sessions and users in frontend” shows below the article a Google Analytics Reports arrow can be clicked to open the stats for the specific post/page. The below shows the stats for my much visited (but old) contact form 7 article.

Ops! Remember to turn off tracking for Administrator.

I decided not to add the screen for:
Google Analytics ->
Errors & Debug -> Errors & Details and Plugin Settings.
Listing of errors and a Plugin Configuration screen.

Here is an example of the stats that can be seen in the Dashboard:
(Why it jumped from almost 200 to over 300 I do not know.)
Make your selection on what you want to view in both dropdown boxes.
