Code Snippets

Is the name used for smaller pieces of code inserted into the child theme functions file, or even better into its own custom functions plugin independent of the theme.

There is also a Code Snippet plugin to where one can add snippets. It looks interesting I think I might test it out.
I have gathered a lot of code snippets which I also plan on placing into a custom functions plugin which then can be added to any theme I use.
