I built this page with passion for web design.
A passion that became mixed in with Photoshop back in 1997. At the time I was taught Dreamweaver and built my first web page.
In late 2008 I had an impulse of wanting to be more creative again through web design (I had earlier done other things). I began working as a media teacher in a high school in Oslo, Norway, and began also creating video tutorials. Some of these are still up on my youtube channel.
In 2011 my girlfriend took a look at WordPress and showed it to me as she needed some help. I had earlier looked at WordPress but thought it was just not good enough to use. When she asked for help I look a closer look at WordPress again and this time was impressed by what I saw. I helped my girlfriend with her private blog and began researching. I came across Thematic and created a few test sites with it and enjoyed learning about WordPress. A few months passed and then themify.me came across my radar and I began using a child theme of the theme Basic from themify for various web sites.
I began working freelance as an Adobe software instructor teaching Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Flash. I also received a 7 month teaching assignment at Noroff a private high school in downtown Oslo. When the 7 months were almost over the students tried very hard to get me hired. I have been back on occasion as a substitute teacher.
I work full time as a freelance web designer and instructor teaching Adobe software and WordPress. On the side I work as an internet teacher at NKI. Norways biggest online education provider.
I am now here. This site is an upgrade of the site I had earlier. This time I am testing out the Genesis Framework from StudioPress. The more I get into the Genesis way the more impressed I am with it. The theme I use is based on the Child Theme Metro but I have customized the heck out of it…:)

A movie actor in the making.
A few months before finishing my Bachlor in Art and Art History degree in Minneapolis in 2002 I wondered what to do with my one year work permit that I would receive from collage following graduation. It hit me hard – the old dream of becoming a Hollywood actor. A dream I had almost forgotten from I was 10 having watched the movie Superman seeing how Clark Kent was the normal every day guy and Superman was the more hidden aspect that not too many were able to experience. I knew I wanted to influence others reminding them of their own inner life as Christopher Reeve as an actor influenced me. In February 2003 I left on a Greyhound bus for Los Angeles with my suitcase and a huge packpack. I have a web site called My Acting Porfolio (which btw needs some more work). If you go to the LA blog section scroll to the bottom you can see my first diary entry.
Video recordings
I like to attend lectures about sustainability and open economy and other topics similar to this. I usually bring along my video camera and record the lecture and add it to my youtube channel.
Web Design
I have a passion for researching and learning new things (these days) WordPress. I spent a lot of time finding topics I want to learn more about and then also create tutorials that I add to this site. I also follow along with Core of WordPress seeing what will happen forward…
The question arises… What do I want to do? I want to when the chance opens up again continue as an actor. I want to help people make web sites. I want to teach. I want to travel and meet interesting and open minded and hearted people.
